Borrowers sue over apparent loan modification mishaps

Associated Press fileThe suit is among a growing number of legal complaints accusing banks of disregarding what should be binding agreements to reduce the monthly mortgage payments of troubled borrowers.

LOS ANGELES — It seemed Maria Campusano’s financial problems were behind her when the mortgage on her Victorian home in a Massachusetts mill town was chopped by hundreds of dollars a month.

She soon learned that her troubles had just begun.

Weeks after making her first payment under the new rate, the school district staffer began receiving past-due notices, documents showing wildly inaccurate loan balances and letters threatening foreclosure.

The Rothschild in question well knew how hard it is to preserve wealth. History is full of tales of fortunes lost. And if you needed reminders, there are memorials to lost fortunes everywhere. “There are so many great families whose former grandeur survives only as an echo, in the names of museums, converted mansions, streets and towns,” Train continues. “Their descendents don’t have it anymore. Taxes, inflation, expropriation and rising costs have pulled them down.”

Even so, some family businesses have made it work for a long time. As OOs, they have a better chance of doing something extraordinary than the hired-gun CEO. As Damon Runyon had it, “The race may not always be to the swift nor the victory to the strong, but that’s how you bet.”

G&W Electric relocates to 350k s.f. facility in Bolingbrook

Paine/Wetzel • ONCOR International has announced that Edward Wabick, principal; Jerry Sullivan, principal; and Brandon Wright, associate of the firm, have completed the sale of an over 350,000-square-foot industrial building to G&W Electric Co. in Bolingbrook, Ill.

G&W Electric Co., a manufacturer and distributor of high voltage electrical distribution equipment, is relocating its corporate headquarters from Blue Island, Ill to this  industrial building located at 305 Crossroads Parkway in Bolingbrook. G&W intends to modify the existing facility to suit their manufacturing processes for medium and high voltage electrical equipment as well as establishing their world headquarters at this site.
